Taman Negara Pahang, Malaysia (Pahang National Park)

In 3 months I was at home, I decided to go to Taman Negara Pahang. Drove from Kuala Lumpur took about 4.5 hours at the average speed of 90km-110km.

If you get more time and nothing to rush, you can get to Taman Negara by a boat for a 60km journey about 2-3 hours duration. Travel by boat to Taman Negara is an important part of the experience.

First take a bust or train to Jerantut (approx RM19 from Kuala Lumpur).
Then take a taxi from Jerantut to Kuala Tembeling (approx RM16).
The boat leaves Kuala Tembeling Jetty at 5.30am, 10am, 1pm and 5pm.

Tips: If you wish to go for a canopy walk, you can take a boat and the fare is RM9 per person for a very short distance. Or you can just cross the river for RM1 to the Mutiara Resort Jetty and take a walk about 20 minutes to Canopy walk.

DONT FORGET YOUR RAIN COAT.

Accommodation: A few hostel for shoe string traveller. One of it is Liana Hostel, located just by the river. Many budget accommodation to chose from as low as RM50 per room.

For westerner, please dress appropriately and respect the local people.
After Jerantut, the S shape road, left and right palm tree plantation.
