Basic Introduction to Gairloch, Wester Ross.

Assalamualaikum & hello,

By the time I started to 'celoteh' (babble) this entry, the time show 9.00am, Wednesday morning. 7 hours behind Malaysia time.

Peaceful, fresh and beautiful, that's how I described Gairloch, a small village in rural highlands Scotland, located in Wester Ross.
View of Gairloch.
In comparison between New Zealand and Scotland, this both country got not much different in the scenery perspective. Both country are beautiful with lakes and mountains. New Zealand has more massive mountains and weather are far better in summer compare to Scotland. Mountains in the highlands Scotland not as huge as in New Zealand.
Shops in the village.
Population here is about 2,000. School, shops, post office, police station (only 1 policeman), bank, clinic, dentist... they got it all here. Life quality here are far better than living in the city like Glasgow or cities down in England. No problem such as an idiot alcoholic, druggies, and prostitution.
Majority the villagers here are very friendly. Even though it is a small village, various of activities were organized for the villages such as zumba, highland dancing, kids drama club, sailing club, hiker club, friends of garden and etc.

This little village is very safe. Majority of the people here did not lock their door house and also the cars. House break in never happen here. They left their house unlock when they were away for holidays.

Nearby village festival.

In summer, villages in Wester Ross area received a lot of holiday makers. Camp site were full with caravan and camper van. Hotel, motel, B&B, youth hostel, souvenir shop, cafe and restaurant making good business.
Activities for the kids.
Till now my 'celoteh' for today. Terima kasih kerana membaca.
